UPCYCLED SHITTY ART WITH SEBASTIAN MUELLER-SOPPART
Introducing Sebastian Mueller-Soppart. A contemporary artist who since 2011, has been buying pieces of art, and ‘upcycling’ them. Growing up feeling like he was only good at two things - sports and art, Sebastian decided to choose art. He takes art - yes, even the absolute shittiest of art, and through a minimalistic means, re-creates it. His method of partially covering the original piece, or painting over it in a particular way, shows the piece in an entirely new perspective. Sometimes by covering up or taking away part of the original piece, makes the viewer focus on and appreciate other details more.

What do you not like about the world?
The entire system, the way we set ourselves up, has been less than ideal. Societies that reward greed, turn a blind eye to corruption, fail to level playing fields and hang mother earth out to dry, make me sick. (Scandinavia - here I come ;)

If you had to listen to one song on repeat for the rest of your life?
"It's gonna be alright" by ZAPP featuring Roger Troutman. While an upbeat song, I can't help but think of the sarcasm that must have gone into it. Here we have a gay, black man who was born in the 50's and later killed by his brother. He's also the only artist I ever stood in line for, to get that autograph.
