FROM LINE TO FORM
A new art project by Lindor x Art, exploring the concept of something beautiful and accentuating it by playing with the notions of line and form, for everyone to see. This new art series shows a new way to look at photos, and explores body confidence by focusing on natural the beauty in the form of our bodies.
Lindor runs us through his vision behind the new project, as well as inspiration behind the idea:
”Now this isn’t trying to be super philosophical or any of that bullshit, but rather me just having some friends who are a little self conscious about themselves. I mean we do live in a day and age where everything is so focused on how we look, how we rate each other on social media with likes, reacts, and all of that bullshit, so it’s no wonder girls feel this way.
All I wanted to do with this concept is to make those girls feel beautiful. The actual origin of this entire thing came from a friend of mine (@maddiejoy_) that had a photoshoot done by the amazing @_christopherrobert_ because she wanted to feel good about herself and her body. She sent me the photos which were awesome, yet she still hated certain things about them. To be blunt, I told her to shut up and then drew a little line art over the top of it accentuating the features that made her beautiful and I think she loved it - after all she did feature in the first lot of posts for From Line To Form.
So naturally I did this for more of my friends and hit them up seeing if they were interested, and now we have this entire thing going on which is pretty cool. Some remaining anonymous, others in full view. I just think it’s really beautiful that they’re trusting me with these pretty intimate and personal photos of themselves and allowing me to make them shine.
In regards to the whole aesthetic behind it, I really wanted to go with this early 2000s semi-tumblr vibe. I feel it just adds this amazing rawness to everything that further accentuates all of the imagery used and gives it this almost hand cut-out, scrap-book collage feel. This in a sense combines my artistic roots with my new almost all digital design techniques creating some pretty cool compositions with some beautiful flow to them.”
